Mara Ladines, the owner of By Mara, joins Joel Barish at the DeafNation Expo in New Jersey. Mara recently founded a store in New York City, also known as the Big Apple, selling her By Mara products. She explains in this video her reasoning behind her location, and also several fun tidbits about her store. For example, there have been visitors from all over – including London, Italy, and more. She also has a partnership with an ASL teacher, Jeremy, who teaches his ASL classes in half of the By Mara store. The other half of the store sells Mara’s clothes. This is inspiration for all to be creative and think out of the box! (captioned)
