  • Hi there, I hope you have a better view of Tokyo than I had a long time ago in the 50’s. what I saw was the beautiful rawness made by or of World War 2, and the people. I wrote a story about it and sent it to Gallaudet. Gallaudet has sat on it for 3 years and still have it, has no idea to published it nor to do so. It is okay, I could not attend Gallaudet, but you know what? the World taught me more than Gallaudet could of IF I had been able to attend. so now I am writing another book about my Ancestors who came from INDIA way back in the 1625’s. I wish you well on your trip there It is different than what I saw and helped some of the Japanese deaf children use ASL now words but SIGNS. today its too MODERN to return to see it again. the RAWNESS of it back in the 50’s was so BEAUTIFUL with its small cars and little back ally size streets. I mean it was a LEARNING time for me. my husband is hearing and retired from the Air Force . Betty oh yes I am DEAF graduate of Berkeley School for the Deaf in California.

  • I have many memories of Japan that were very “unforgettable” from the 1950’s/60’s and the thought of the ATOMIC BOMB and what it did to the Island of HIROSHIMA. There is a wall that shows the horrible destruction that the bomb did and if anyone goes to that part of Japan, look up that WALL. You will understand the damage WARS can do to the life of people and even a country. The crowd of people the homes they lived in oh gosh, I wish I could just make a “picture book” not words but pictures of the destruction the atomic bomb made. wow.
