During the DeafNation World Expo, we gave one-of-a-kind awards to a group of very special individuals. The reception was emceed by well-known personalities Marlee Matlin and John Maucere. DeafNation wishes to recognize the following inspirational Deaf people: Dr. Ádám Kósa (Politics), Braam Jordaan (Visual Arts), Marilyn Jean Smith (Advocacy), Nickson Kakiri (Advocacy), Roberto Wirth (Hotel Hospitality), Sean Berdy (Entertainment), Tai Lihua (Performing Arts), and Dr. T.
