Reunion with a talented soul! In Antigua, Guatemala, Joel reconnects with the renowned Deaf artist Freddy De León Cruz. Flashback to 2008, when I first interviewed him, and in 2012, when I became a proud owner of his exquisite artwork. Now, back in Antigua to celebrate LAVOSI’s 15 years of Deaf education, I find myself at one of Freddy’s job sites, witnessing his brilliance unfold on yet another masterpiece. What an incredible journey and reunion it has been!
