Through his contemporary paintings, Lim invites you into his soundless world, bringing alive the culture and daily life of Malaysia, incorporating a profusion of local colors. From Kampung houses near the sea to the rural to beauty of nature, Lim represents the harmony of the environment and its inhabitants.
An undeniably talented artist, Lim Anuar has overcome much in his life. Born deaf, Lim has not spoken or heard a voice in his life. One of the finest artists to come out of Asia, Lim prefers to work with a wax and dye process on fabric.
He is currently pursuing his Master’s degree in Visual Arts at the University of Malaya, representing the first deaf student in the program. A gold medal winner at the 8th International Abilympic Competition in Korea.
Lim Anuar is humbled and excited to exhibit for the first time in the United States during Art Basel Week in Miami, December 4th through 8th. Join us in the Miami Wynwood Art District for this first ever event.
