Head into the small Bali village of Tabanan, and you’ll find yourself off the typical tourist
path, and deeply immersed in Bali culture. There, Joel Barish meets with Jepri, an extremely
talented wood carver who makes his living creating beautiful carvings for buildings and
architecture. Take a look inside Jepri’s workshop, and see the type of work that goes into
such intricate pieces.

  • Awesome video. He definitely has a talent that not too many people have. Wood carving is a skill that takes a long time to master to get to a point where he can do it with ease. Was that the sign for tent I saw or a Balinese sign for something else? Where you and he discussed about 2 minutes 10 seconds into the video.

Great video, Joel, thanks for sharing.
